How the builds are ranked
Each build has a Build Power Score from the calculator — a 0–100 number derived from a weighted sum of all canonical combat stats. A top-end meta build lands in the 65–70 range with current data; a beginner build lands around 25. The score isn't the full story (an Infinite Tower tank scores low on the damage-weighted formula but is still the right pick for that content) — use the blurbs to find the build matching your goal, not just the highest score.
Boss Damage Meta
Score 68Highest raw damage ceiling in the game right now. Monarch's drop proc provides farming utility while every other slot maximises damage scaling.
- ▸Celestial is the single largest DPS contribution — rolling it from Trait Rerolls is the biggest upgrade in the build.
- ▸Swap Hellfire for any Epic aura (Winged / Fallen) if you haven't rolled Hellfire yet — the gap is only 0%.
- ▸Shadow Monarch sword is the long-term target; Ichigo or Aizen are fine stepping-stones.
Sword DPS
Score 63Leans into the sword-damage multiplier. Mugetsu's swordDamage bonus stacks multiplicatively for sword-only DPS while keeping raw damage high.
- ▸Only use when you're actively wielding a sword — the Build Calculator warns if you unequip.
- ▸Secret Trait 3's 30% CDR enables aggressive Z-skill uptime for cleave combos.
- ▸Drop Ichigo → upgrade to Shadow Monarch when available (+20% extra nominal swordDamage).
Tank / Infinite Tower
Score 43Maximises HP, Defense, and Damage Reduction for floors where a single mistake ends the run. Voldigoat's always-on 5% DR stacks cleanly with Mythical Trait 2's +85% defense.
- ▸Defense stacks hit the 80% cap fast on this build — drop Saber Armor if the Build Calculator shows overflow waste.
- ▸Skip the fruit slot — none of the current fruit pool supports pure tank play.
- ▸Lower damage score is expected; this build optimises survivability, not kill speed.
Farming / Drops
Score 51Stacks luck and drop rate for grinding rare materials and accessories. Monarch's 20% +1 drop proc compounds with Kitsune's 25% luck for significant farming gains.
- ▸Light fruit adds clear-speed for dense mob farms — swap for Quake if you need AoE instead.
- ▸Keep a Mythical trait ready to swap in when transitioning from farming mobs to killing bosses.
- ▸Legendary Trait 3 trades some damage for CDR — worthwhile when you're farming the same spawn for hours.
Beginner-Friendly
Score 25No Mythical-rarity rolls required. A free-to-play player can assemble this in a weekend of casual progression.
- ▸Every piece is obtainable by Level 300 with patient play.
- ▸Target this build first, then upgrade slot-by-slot as better rolls accumulate.
- ▸Score of 25 is deliberately low — this is a stepping-stone, not an endgame target.
Upgrade paths between builds
Most players won't jump straight from Beginner to Boss Damage Meta — the progression goes through intermediate states. Realistic upgrade order:
- Start with Beginner-Friendly at Level 300–500.
- Upgrade race to any Epic-or-better (Demon, Vampire, or better) at Level 500–800.
- Upgrade trait to any Legendary when you have 20+ Trait Rerolls saved (Level 800–1200).
- Upgrade clan to Voldigoat or Monarch at Level 1200+. This is when the Boss Damage path diverges from the Farming / Tank paths.
- Upgrade accessory to a Legendary boss drop (Gojo Blindfold, Saber Armor) at Level 1500+.
- At endgame (Level 2000+), chase Mythical / Secret rolls in the slot that matters most for your target content.
